Welcome to St John's CofE Early Years Foundation Stage!
Dear Parents and Carers,
We are excited to share that our theme for this half term is Space! Throughout the coming weeks, your children will embark on a cosmic adventure, exploring space-themed areas and engaging in a variety of activities within our continuous provision. One of the highlights will be our writing sessions based on the delightful book, ’Aliens Love Underpants’. We can’t wait to see their imaginations soar!
In addition to our space exploration, we will be focusing on developing key skills. This includes enhancing pencil and scissors grips, as well as nurturing language development through storytelling. We will also be working on counting up to 10, ensuring that our little learners are confident in their number skills.
We are pleased to continue our phonics journey with the ’Little Wandle’ programme, building on the fantastic progress made last half term. This structured approach will help reinforce their phonetic awareness and support their reading development.

Reminders: Mrs Hickson's Class and Mrs McCallum's Class both have PE on a Monday.
